西北旺科创生态小镇花园式片区项目设计师金宸介绍：“项目建成之前，相关地块是代征地。前期我们通过多次勘察，与区水务局、地块周边的学校、海淀大悦城等相关单位对接设计方案，保证方案的优化和落地的实现。整个项目因为周边涉及到很多的商业，用地也不一样，所以我们将其打造为街头绿地和社区公园共两大板块。”

打造了一个集多功能于一体的城市公共空间
实践“联园融城”理念
第一打破红线局限性，营造无界开放小镇，实现内外功能与交通的和谐衔接；
第二与西山、高线连廊及故宫北院构建的立体视廊；
第三以色叶树种为主要特色的植物景观，同时通过大尺度种植手法，营造迎宾花海景观，创造感官丰富、季相深刻的自然景观；
第四通过市政步道串联周边公园、河道、绿地，形成多环慢行步道，实现真正的“联园融城”。
金宸介绍说：“整个项目约15公顷，2024年4月开工建设，目前基本完工，正式对公众开放，旨在提升周边办公人群、居民的幸福感和生活质量。”
西北旺科创生态小镇花园式片区通过营造感官丰富、季相鲜明的自然景观，构建出舒适、和谐、集多功能于一体的城市公共空间，为居民奉上又一座身边的“社区花园”。
