12月5日，由中国科协主办的2024世界公众科学素质促进大会在北京开幕。大会以“提升科学素质 赋能共同发展”为主题，结合联合国《2024—2033年科学促进可持续发展国际十年》决议等国际关注的热点话题设置大会研讨议题，汇聚全球智慧为世界公众科学素质提升与社会可持续发展赋能，推动扩大国际科技人文交流。来自23个国家和10个国际组织的400余位中外代表嘉宾参会。
